Does A Liberal Arts Major Have A Shot at Success?
I was an English/Social Studies major with a cGPA of about 3.0. I've had a few basic science classes but that is it. I would like to hear from someone in a similar situation who entered the Pre-Med program. How successful were you at the Pre-Med classes and if you have already taken classes at the medical school; how well did Pre-Med prepare you and what level of success are you having?
If someone could tell me the name and edition of the Advanced Organic Chemistry textbook, that would be very helpful as well.

MUA Pre-Med or AUA BSEP?
I've gotten accepted to AUA and MUA's BSEP and Pre-Med program, respectively. I am trying to decide between the two. At first glance, AUA looks to be the better choice since they have California approval, a bigger island (more things to do if/when there is downtime), newer campus, etc. MUA, however, is a lot more affordable and easier to get loans (AUA requires a 3.25 incoming GPA to be eligible for loans - I won't be eligible, unfortunately).
But we're not talking about Med 1 here. We're talking about these pre-Med programs that I have to pass first. MUA's program is a year long but looks more doable than AUA's 1 semester program. I have heard rumors that about 50% of folks who do the BSEP at AUA fail out.
Of course, I want to score well over 3.25 throughout med school but if I can't, then I am exactly sure how I'd be able to pay for it. Anyone have any advice for me?

MUA vs SMU vs UMHS
I'm new here, and I'm sure this has been posted a few times, but hopefully someone can help me out. I got into all 3 schools, still waiting to here back from AUA. From what I've gathered so far, I've heard extremely mixed reviews. MUA mirrors Saba and people are saying it should receive CA approval soon. Is this true? I've also heard St. Matthew's lost it's Cali approval? I'm not sure what happened there, if anyone is able to explain it to me. Last, I know UMHS hasn't been accredited by anyone yet, but multiple people have told me that it is up and coming and could eventually enter the big 4. Does anyone have thoughts to this?

Urgent! Risk St. James or lose $1000?
Hi guys, I need your informed judgments.
For Fall 2013 admission
$1000 reservation fee is due to St. James School of Medicine (Bonaire campus) tomorrow (6/12/2013). I got an invite to interview with MUA two days after they received my application. The interview is next week.
I looked around and like MUA better, except the cost is almost 2x St. James.
Should I play it safe and pay the $1000 reservation fee to St. James so I am guaranteed a med school seat, and then wait for MUA? Or Should I gamble and forget about St. James and hope for MUA?
